Just in the nick of time.
Saturday night, 8 o’clock is about as late as I want to go for a last minute run.
So much for getting more than two runs in this week. The good news is that between the two runs I put in almost three laps worth of a run.
and as I hoped, stepped it up one more notch today. Road Runner GPS stats:

Some info on my “after dark” route.
About 3 tenths of a mile from my house there is a church, with a large parking lot. parts of it are lit, and parts are not, but it fluctuates in incline and has flat spots. Its a very safe place to run, and as long as there is not activity at the church it is open and safe to run on.
One lap around it is approximately .35 miles.
so 4 laps is just over 1.4 miles. I run just under 8 laps and I have the trip home and back now all i need to do is add laps!
We are also looking to get a treadmill, that will make it more comfortable to run during the winter. I am not going to lie, I don’t like running in the super cold. I would rather be snowboarding.
